Traditional Water Line Replacement and Repair

Traditional Water Line Replacement and Repair

While we’re proud to stand behind the quality and efficiency of our trenchless water line repairs and replacements, there will be times when a situation calls for traditional repair methods. At Accurate Leak and Line, home and commercial property owners have access to traditional water line repair and replacement. We’ll do whatever is needed to get the job done right, with minimal cosmetic damage and eco-friendliness top of mind.

Why Would I Need Traditional Water Line Repair?

Although many water line issues can be addressed with noninvasive epoxy pipe relining or minimally invasive trenchless plumbing techniques, there are some issues that require us to dig up your water lines. For example, rerouting water lines through the attic or walls usually calls for excavation. In these cases, we’re often able to use a combination of trenchless and traditional water line repair methods in order to limit damage.

Our traditional water line repair and replacement services start with the same innovative diagnostic tests as our trenchless services do. After we’ve completed water pressure testing, we’ll map out the system, indicating only the necessary excavations and reroutes. Before we get to work, we’ll share a detailed assessment with you and provide our recommendations. We won’t move forward without your approval.

Water Line Repair FAQs

We get a lot of questions about the excavation process involved in traditional water line repair and replacement. Although this does require more digging than trenchless repairs do, you can rest assured that we’ll complete the job with as little cosmetic damage as possible.

After we’ve made a preliminary diagnosis, we’ll map out the excavation. You’ll be presented with options to choose from, as well as fixed costs for each.

Our OSHA-certified crew members will expose faulty sewer lines with shovels and chipping hammers. In order to minimize damage to your property, our crew has received confined space training. Throughout the process, excess dirt is hauled away and work areas are kept tidy. Once the work is done, we’ll backfill the excavations with tamping hammers for maximum compaction.

During traditional water line repair and replacement, we might use:

  • External excavation, or tunneling from the outside
  • Interior access excavation, which includes jackhammer penetration of the slab or foundation
  • Exterior rerouting, where we reroute new lines outside of your property

We’ll let you know before we start working on which method is best for your situation.
